The Four Seasons

restaurant and bar interior

The Four Seasons Restaurant Design

Situated between Madison and Park Avenues, just a few blocks away from its original location, the new restaurant is spread over two floors, occupying over 19,000 sq ft. Hand patina bronze and mirror-polished stainless were integral parts of the material palate that drove design architect Isay Weinfeld's intent. Ferra's design/build work can be seen throughout the entire interior and exterior curtain wall. From the Bar Room, which boasts a 20-seat sunken, gold-flecked bar, to the main dining room, which features stainless steel columns in a quartz bronze mirror finish and everything in between. A 75’ long bronze tunnel connects the two rooms.

We worked closely with acoustical engineer Cerami to create connections to the building that would isolate the sound from the Metro-North tracks directly below the restaurant. What the guests do hear is the sounds of the seasons, recorded in Central Park and played in the hallway as they walk.

The metalworking techniques range from CNC machining to field TIG-welded connections that were polished up to a mirror finish.

Our design team also created custom exterior doors and storefront curtain wall cladding to resolve the facade of the building.
