At our core, we are a team of builders. We are in the business of architectural metal and glass, but are guided by true craft, practical approaches, and elegant solutions. We sell systems and components, but think in terms of context and legacy.

We pride ourselves in turn key solutions reinforced by technology and ingenuity. Our gifted team of designers can guide a project on a successful trajectory from inception. Upon project review and alignment of budget we provide pragmatic solutions supported by tasteful details. Builders participate in design kick off meetings to add perspective on manufacturability and install strategies. The insight of the craftsman increases efficiency and safety. Our ability to capture site data via 3D scanning and SolidWorks parametric modeling ensures accurate data that can be shared internally and with other trades — collaboration with the goal of project success.

Iconic Facility

Ferra is a Navy Yard anchor tenant and steward to Building 10 - a 19th century pump works and WWII hub for Naval trades. Adaptive reuse of our 30,000 sqft facility includes
• state-of-the-art fabrication areas
• fully outfitted finishing facility
• CNC machining centers
• offices, meeting spaces, and design studio
• dedicated spaces for architectural mockups over 30' tall
• warehouse and service facility for our transport fleet

Through individual journeys, our designers and craftsmen arrived at their chosen trades through a shared desire to make beautiful things. The skills they have acquired over their many years are second to none.

Our shop is staffed with highly experienced, full-time fabrication and finishing teams. Our project managers all have 15+ years of high-end construction and design experience. Our team offers the very best to each and every project — a collaborative team of professionals who stay true to high craft, no matter the challenge.
